German scientist D. Kriesel has discovered that two Xerox products, the WorkCentre 7535 and the WorkCentre7556 use a compression algorithm which may change the printed output, even when the device is only being used in photocopier mode. In the example, Kriesel uses an engineering drawing of a building, but it could just as easily have been financial data, patient records or similar.
